Little Life Updates

Assalamualaikum

Hi everyone! Wow, it's been so long since my last post. Well, you know life happens (ceh!). I was so busy coping with the new module, and the exam was, 6 hours ago. How was it? I honestly don't know. Tbh, they were easy, but my memory consolidation went for a break because I slept for only what, 2 hours I guess? Blame the coffee which I ACCIDENTALLY drank ugh!

On a bright side, the exam was over right? Next module is Respiratory System (RS). Same 6 weeks module, with lots of self study. I believe they can actually cut it into 4 weeks though.

I received my duckscarves today, bought the light green square kaleidoscope. I felt guilty actually spending RM220 on A SCARF. I kept telling myself, it's okay if you dont like it you can sell it back hahaha! Cause believe me, they even argue on duckscarves instagram because of the limited pieces and stuffs. So, do I like my new duck? Hm, I like it, but the material is a bit, off? I imagined a heavy, more opaque satin but it ended up looking like a cheap material? It's easy to style but, the ONLY downside is the material. Other than that, the colours are as expected. Oh except that it's beige not light pink on the scarf. Rating; 7/10 (THE MATERIAL UGH)

I am currently feeling so homesick! I want to go home, and just the thought of it makes me happy. See how desperate I am! I need my parents so bad. Yes I can call them but, I wanna hug them! *cries a river*

My new makeup item is *drumroll* the Banila Co. It Radiant CC Cushion! Yes, I repurchased it. I really love how it makes my skin glowing even though I didnt drink 2L plain water everyday.

Ugh always ended up writing an essay rather than 'little'!

One Day Singapore Trip

Assalamualaikum

Hi everyone! So the title gives you the hint about today’s post. My usual one day Singapore trip with family is by car but last Wednesday, my friends and I decided to be ‘independent’ -we travelled by bus (and train).

Our journey starts from Kota Tinggi to Jb Sentral. The bus ride was around 1 1/2 hour. Upon arriving Jb Sentral, we searched for SBS 170 bus (Woodlands) but the only Singapore bus that we can find was SBS 160 which is Jurong East bus. We just rode it without hesitation because we need to be in Singapore as early as possible.

Then from Jb Sentral towards Woodlands Checkpoint, it took us around 30 minutes before we reached Malaysia’s immigration checkpoint (But you can just walk from Jb Sentral to the immigration). Oh my god I cannot feel my legs that time due to long (10 minutes) walk hahaha! Then after we passed there, we took the SBS bus (any SBS bus will do as long as you showed your previous SBS ticket) to cross Selat Tebrau to reach Singapore’s checkpoint. Then again, walk! After we passed the checkpoint, we took SBS bus to Kranji. It was around 20 minutes from Woodland Checkpoint to Kranji.

Upon reaching Kranji, we bought our MRT ticket to our destination -Orchard. It was $2.80 per ticket. From Kranji to Orhard via MRT was about 37 minutes. It didn’t feel that long as we talked non-stop!

Of course we need to take a picture of these!
If the train ride was 1 hour, all of us would look like mad housewives (Read: Messy)
Orchard Road was our first destination. I bought Lush lip scrub because the ol’ Fresh is reaching its expiry date soon. Then Laduree macaroon and Garrett popcorn for my sisters. Not much as this is not family trip meh.
Look at all these babies, so adorable!

The I-need-to-look-tired face
Then we went to Arab Street (actually we went back to Orchard Road right after that). Ah this place is a must visit -souvenir, cheap instax film, cheap shades you name it! We had our lunch at Pariaman, as recommended by the locals, their specialty is Nasi Padang. Can’t deny, it was good. We found a lot of cool shops, you know the minimalist style, I love it! I really love The General Store because the interior was drop dead gorgeous! We dropped by at Fika, a Swedish coffee shop nearby because it was scorching hot 3pm! After that we walked to few fabric shops because mom asked me to. Obedient daughter alert~

But I’m so impressed with how creative the sales assistant match the fabrics like you should be a designer or something though.

Coffee hop @ Fika. Love the ambiance there.

I looked like a nerd (need to bend the legs like the girls Iffah!)
After tired of walking, we decided to go back to Orchard Road by taxi. It was around $10 from Arab Street to Orchard Road. Then we just walked around until 8pm. At 8.30pm we catch a train to Kranji and headed home. I reached home around 12am.

It was a tiring day but I had fun with my little group of best friends!

Top Beauty Picks for Classes

Assalamualaikum

I would say that I have no makeup on most of the time. I wear depends on where I go, and when I feel like wearing them. Where I usually go is of course, campus. So, no makeup, well just sunscreen (obviously not a makeup) and my favourite Chanel compact powder (Johnson's baby powder, 90% of the time). Oh yes, and a Maybelline Lip Balm which I've been using since 2013 I think.

For sunscreen, I will alternate them based on my schedule. For example if I have straight classes from 8 am to 5 pm, I will use Dior. If I have class until 1pm, I will use Shiseido. This is because the one from Shiseido is  a waterproof sunscreen and I need makeup remover to clean it which is truly taking my time during my break time. Considering my break time (for lunch and pray*) is only 1 hour most of the time, I choose the Dior one since it's easy to be removed and not a waterproof sunscreen.

DIOR
DIORSNOW
UV SHIELD BRIGHTENING ILLUMINATING UV PROTECTION INTENSE PROTECTION
SPF50+ - PA++++
RM196

SHISEIDO
MULTI-DEFENSE UV PROTECTOR
SPF 50
RM130

I raved about the Chanel tons of time. Even to my family and friends. I can say that it's worth the splurge! This powder makes my skin glow effortlessly. It has this subtle shimmer and totally change my skin appearance.

CHANEL
LES BEIGES
HEALTHY GLOW SHEER POWDER SPF 15 / PA++
RM140**

And last but not the least is baby lips! I really love this range as it moisturizes my terrible chapped lips so well. I wish to buy more colour from this range!

MAYBELLINE
BABY LIPS LOVE COLOR BRIGHTS COLLECTION
RM10.47

*For your information, you need to completely remove your makeup before ablution or wudhu'.
**I bought most of them long time ago, so the price(s) might be different due to GST implementation.

Review: NARS Oasis Blush

Assalamualaikum

Where To Buy: NARS Pavilion, Mid Valley, Gurney Plaza

Price: RM127

Nett Weight: 4.8mg

Shade: Oasis

Line: Permanent

What It Claims: Sparkling pink champagne. The ultimate authority in blush, NARS offers the industry's most iconic shades for cheeks. Natural, healthy-looking color that immediately enlivens the complexion. A light application of even the highest-intensity hues delivers a natural-looking flush. Silky texture in matte and shimmering shades. Micronized powder ensures soft, blendable application. Iconic NARS shades.

My review: This blush is defined by sparkling pink champagne. It did sound ‘good’ at first. So after few swatches on my cheek, I decided to buy it (my aunt belanja yayers!). I didn’t realize that this blush is a bit dark for me even though I blend it so well for 3 minutes? Maybe due to the lighting in NARS or maybe because I was too excited when someone paid it for me lol Anyway, on the bright side, I can save some amount of bronzer because it has this slightly bronzing effect on my cheek. The formulation of this blush is a powder type and has shimmery glitters. So extra work on blending is needed to make it nicely blended. Overall, this product, particularly this shade is a so-so for me. I am looking forward to try NARS Multiple. Oh how I wish they could widen their wings in Johore. Here, I attached the new price list of NARS products inclusive GST.
